Windows Movie Maker 2 and SOny Vegas.
Combine Photo Story 3 and WMM together to get more effects

But isn't something better than windows movie maker? Did you hear of Proshow? I think it's better. But it gots some problems, too... I heard of that Sony vegas, but is it really good?

with WMM2, you can create your own Video Effects, Transitions etc, that means sky is the limit :) find out more here : www.windowsmoviemaker.net. They share the effects, transitions and everything.
My friends said Vegas is very good but I haven't got a chance to play with the software.

Me too! I like windows movie maker, but pro show has more effects! And it's easier to use to edit videos' time.

Well, I used to use Windows Movie Maker a couple years ago, but now that I want to do more then just add titles and little fade effects I use Sony Vegas Pro 9 :P . It's kinda confusing at first but once you learn how to use it you realize you can do just about anything you see proffesionals do at home on your computer. Now this does come with a very high price though (I think it goes for a little over $500). But using this I have already made a little over 10 videos that I think far exceed the old ones I used to make in Movie Maker.

I use SV pro 9 now, too :D I even forgot I put this question, God! lol I'm in love with it! Sky really is the limit with it! But it's giving me so many problems right now because I can't render anything in HD. What kind of computer do you use it on? My vegas is always giving me errors due to low memory.

Oh, well my computer is only about a month old lol it's a HP running windows 7. If you aren't already might I reccomend trying to render it in mp4? I think it's the smallest HD file there is, but if you're already doing that maybe its because of your bit rate? Because I thought one time tempering with my bit rate would make the quality better but it ended up just making the file too big. Make sure yours isn't set at over 6,000. There are probably a million other things that could be wrong but it could also just be your computer is old or something...

Oops, I mean make sure the bit rate isn't set at over 6,000,000! Wow that's kind of a big difference lol sorry.
