Yes, you are right. I would like to say that once the best response to the discussion has been selected by the asker, that discussion should be closed to get more responses. Presently this feature is not existing. There is no use to post answer to those discussions, the best response for which has been selected. You see asker is the better judge for selecting the best answer and he selects best answer normally only when he is fully satisfied with the answer.
What I feel is that myLot should add another category of resolved discussions. That will improve the site navigation a little also.

When I see the best response has been selected it says to me that the discussion is closed. Even if I respond I have no idea if the discussion poster will even be back to read it. I too would like the discussions put into a resolved category so that once I select one I can dedicate myself better to my "open" discussions. It is not an earning thing per se since I often check back when I can to see if I get a response to my response in a discussion.

To be honest I hadn't noticed that - Which begs the question why do so many pick the very first response within a very short time of the discussion starting?
I do know that I've responded in many discussions where the best response as already been picked. I figure if I have something to say, I'm just going to say it :-)
I generally wait a few days before I pick best response on any of my discussions though - only to give me hopefully more to choose from.

This is why I do not pick a best response until I see that the responses are starting to stop. I never pay attention myself when answering in a discussion, but I guess many do.
