With so many side effects to modern medicines, how many people are going back to the old ways and trying indigineous ways of healing? Don't get me wrong; There is a time and place for modern dtrs and hospitals, but are pharmacutal companies killing us?

I've been thinking of acupuncture as an alternative method for something I've been treated for. My doctor says there is no evidence that it works but the internet is starting to say otherwise. Frankly, my doctor has a very rich practice predicated on doing things his way and I don't altogether trust him.

I have used accupuncture for something not generally thought of a treatment for. I had either bone spurs or a torn ligament/tendon or both in my heel. It had been injured for a year. The pain was so bad that I had started using crutches. As I have no insurance and very little money, I could not go to a reg. doctor. In only 6 treatments, there was NO Pain and my foot was healed.
The best part is, there is a school where I live and the graduating students worked on my for next to nothing!!!!
My husband got over kidney stones with accupuncture also.

I live about 30 miles from you and have used acupuncture and loved it. At the time my insurance paid for it, I worked at Transylvania Community Hospital then went to work at Henderson County and their insurance would not pay for it. I am disabled now, and would love to find a school where I can find affordable acupuncture.
