How does the general population view psychics?

I know many people are skeptial. But most people have had a gut feeling. Most people, espically mothers, know when something is not right with their children. There are always coincedences. Is this not actually a small amount of psychic awareness?

Generally the way I was raised was all form of tarrot readings and thing like that are evil and lead to bad spirts which come from the devil. Gut feelings, I think that is something entirely different, like maybe some higher being(god)leading you.
