I found the perfect card, until I flipped it over. The thing was $6.95! seven bucks for an okay poem and a pretty picture. I think they're way overpriced, but what are you gonna do?

I rarely send greeting cards but if I do I buy them at dollar stores or make my own. Hand-made ones are really nice and you can personalize them any way you like. Here's a great site for learning more about hand-made greeting cards: http://www.making-greeting-cards.com/ Some of the examples at the site are very nice, indeed.

I just bought a card recently for £5..they think they can stick a ribbon and write hand made on them and charge u double as well! On the other hand when they are cheap they're usually horrible!!

thank you for the suggestion. I'll have to check out the site before the next big holiday... which would be Valentines Day for us... Gosh is that possible? Where has this year gone?

my comment above went to brickshy. That's the problem I have, the cheap ones are usually bad. The nice ones are overpriced. I mean, I can buy a book cheaper than that, and give her an extra gift instead of a card.

i would rather compose my own poem, or if your not that poetic, look for nice poems over the net and also some nice pics to accompany your poem..then print, presto!!!!you've got a nice card..just use a good quality paper. or better yet, if you don't want to print, you can email the poem.

that's a good suggestion, cards never quite say what I want them to. But then, neither do I.
