what was the WORST illness or disease you have?

The worst illness/disease that I ever had was 6 years ago when I was diagnosed with two different cancers in the same organ. I had a major surgery and was in the hospital for 2 weeks, after which I had 8 weeks of limited activity. Then I went through a years worth of radiation and chemotherapy treatments at the hospital, returning each week to have them done. It took me a couple of years to almost totally recouperate from all the invasive proceedures, etc, and there are still some lasting effects that I just have to learn to live with. Although it was very rough, I have to be thankful, I have passed the 5 year benchmark without any return of either cancer.
