How to generate more response on a discussion

Tell me folks how to get more response on Mylot. I have started few discussions (useful) but did not get much feedback. Is there anything that I am missing? For example, I always put the discussion as ‘general’ rather than putting them under any particular ‘interests’. Should I always put them under ‘Interests?’ Are there any other things that I have to take care of?
BTW I find it a bit difficult to put a discussion about SEO on any particular interest that Mylot provides. There should have been an 'interest' called “work”.

It is hard to get people to respond to discussions. There are now so many people now on MyLOt that dozens of discussions are posted every minute.
Try to start discussions on interesting topics that a wide range of people can respond to. I usually put most of my discussions on "general" rather than within interests.
Make sure you tag your discussions well. Instead of reading through the "recent discussions", many of which don't interest me, I frequently search using the search facility on the top left of the screen, using a tag word such as "politics" or "sewing" or whatever it is that interests me that day - the search facility then brings up many interesting discussions I can respond to.
Try to respond to other people's discussions - through reading and responding, you will find some MyLot people to have similar tastes to yourself, and you can invite them as friends. (the purpose of friends is to support each other within MyLot and read and respond to each other's discussions).
Hope this helps, and Good Luck.

Further respond to all discussions of your referrals, this way you can make money for them and to you also. Making discussion is in very peculiar type and get responses more. This sector is innovative, one can't advise you simply or broadly. It is very typical to understand the human psychology.

Don't get clarrified with one response. Make sure your response or the response to the others by questioning them to go deeply in the given discussion. In that way you can make it the discussion lively and get in depth material about the discussion and its related matter. Treat the forum as discussion forum and not as examination paper to give answers.

We the members of this forum giving solutions to the problems/discussions raised by members. So we have try to give full satisfied replies to him. As in this discussion you have made a point in respect to the original discussion. By giving posting my part is over, but I have to verify whether it is satisfied the member(you) or should he made any question. It is to be followed by every member. As in examination one can give the answer to the question and forgotten until the marks were announced.

I agree with the first part of your post. That's what I am trying to do. However this part"Treat the forum as discussion forum and not as examination paper to give answers." feels a bit contradictory.

myLotians are growing selfish they rather go and make discussions them selves instead of repling ones already started . Its very hard to get attention of people towards your discsions. I used to get 5 to 10 responces in a minute on my discussion before but now i don't even get average of 5 responces on my discsions its just because people are loosing their interest in myLot.
I have started a topic today relating why we are not getting much responces as we use to get before and nearly got 3 responces who agreed with me.
So it doesn't really depend on what kind of topic you are posting.
Some time you get 100s of responces on a silly thing you post and you even don't get 10 replies towards a serious topic.
I don't know how will members get more attracted, and i always post in general i don't think any of my discussions would be in a category of interests.

I think some one here are so naive that they don't even know the rules of making friends with others. You wanna know more foreigners? Then it;s better that you are a girl, and then post one of your most beautiful pictures here, i am sure there will be foreigners to knock your door soon, Hehe! No offence, just kidding! LOL!

Hehehe yeah that’s a common phenomena, I have seen that in some forums too. For fun I use to think “why d’t ladies jump in and knock my door like that” :)

I am still new here, but it is stated here that it's much better that you put your topic and discussion within a particular interest to have a high chance of being recognized by others who have the same interest.
I make it to a point that I put a comment on every reply post by others on my discussion. Doing that I noticed more response on the discussion I posted. And put contents on your posts.

Yeah adding comments also give the feeling that “oh I did not type in vain, someone noticed”. But adding comments to all may not be practical

Now a days people are registering to myLot to answer the questions in order to get money. More of matured young friends making more discussions, due to their inability to give responses(I can say Lack of all round knowledge). In the psychology of human it is classified as "I'm OK, You're not OK". It is common to adjust at initial level, they will change the style after learning and getting experience only. 'How to earn money' details were clearly informs the guidelines by myLot.

Yes, there are so many discussions with only yes and no answers which is hardly of any use to anyone. I think Mylot will clean most of the useless discussions, soon or later.

having a lot of friends will generate more responses to your discussions..believe me...i have a group of really wonderful friends in myLot that responded to my discussions most of the time. another way is to start a discussion that most people know how to respond to :D and no repetitive discussion...dont worry too much..if you cant think of a discussion, then just respond to more. Happy myLoting!

Honestly speaking i am still figuing this out, even when i have 10 times the posts than you currently.I believe it is a matter of luck that your quality disussion is well accepted.
As i have seen very few quality discussion pass through with flying colours. There are some stupid discussions which have remerkable responses,I wonder why?Discussions like 'do u sleep naked'?is more responsive than 'Surrogate Mother'?
Trust me friend,I am also guessing!Whats your take?

The response I received on this discussion makes feel that, people tend to respond to relatively easy subjects. Check the other discussions started by me, they where a bit technical (tough?) and got absolutely no response. But if we d’t help each other or pass useful information what is the point of discussing.

I think that I have had much better luck joining discussions to respond to. Very few of my discussions have brought the kind of responses that I see other posts get. I agree with other responsders that tagging the topic wiht your specific words helps though. I also find that some of my discussions aren't initially responded to but people post later, even a week or so

Yes, Getting response in mylot for useful discussions is always less.
Even i started some discussions about our social problems we are facing. But i got only few responses.
Here in mylot, everyone is discussing about their interests and some general things.
So, to get more response from people, u never start useful discussion.start some discussions on your interests.

more responses can be generated by scripting appreciable and attractable title of the decision.
the title should focus the main subject of ur discussion.
it should not be digressive.
