Should Biological Family hunt down the child that was given up for adoption?

Should a biological mother who gave her child up for adoption at birth look for the child they gave up for adoption? What about a biological father who knew the child was being given up? What about if he didn't know at the time but later found out? What about the siblings who were raised by the biological parent? What about other siblings who were given up as well?
