Can anyone describe how painful it is to lose someone you love?!?

I am really confused if the pain I am feeling now is somewhat the worst ever or you feel or felt something even more painful. I brokeup with my girlfriend after 5 years of relationship. It is really painful on my part. I really wanted to die but I still think that maybe someone has more painful experience than this one. Please share your thoughts and share your own experiences.
