Would you stuff your pet?

Let's say your dearest pet had died. Would you consider stuffing (embalming/taxidermy) your pet to keep it with your forever?
Would you see any points against this practice? Any emotional, moral, ethical impediments? Do you think this would be a good idea or would you be disgusted or freaked out by it?
If you'd stuff your pet, what kind of pose would you like to immortalize it in? Standing, lying down, licking himself, something else? Where would you keep your embalmed pet? Over the fireplace, next to your television set,...?

What an interesting and thought provoking question splitzip. On the one hand, I'd probably like seeing my dog and/or my cat daily if they were stuffed. But on the other hand, I don't know if it would make me unduly sad and tearful to see them and wish that they were still running around the house. That is a really hard question. The more I reflect on it, I doubt I would have them stuffed. It would be too hard for me emotionally. I do not see anything morally or ethically wrong with the practice though.
