This motivational story teaches us many things. What does it say to you? The story is as follows:
During a momentous battle, a Japanese general decided to attack even though his army was greatly outnumbered. He was confident that they will win, but his men were filled with doubts. On the way to battle, they stopped at a religious shrine. After praying with the men, the general took out a coin and said: "I shall now toss this coin. If it is heads, we shall win. If it is tails, we shall perrish, destiny will now reveal itself"
He threw the coin into the air and all watched the coin intently until it hit the gorund. It was heads. The soldiers were so overjoyed and filled with confidence that they vigorously attacked the enemy and were victorious.
Afterb the battle, a liutenant remarked to the general : "No one can change destiny".
"Quite right", replied the general as he showed the liutenant the coin, which had heads on both sides.
Do you think this applies in real life? I sure do

Well..yeh, he gave them hope, his action gave them that little extra something that sometimes can mean the difference
between success or failure. We, all are just human, and from
time to time, we need that extra bit of support, a little
hope, some encouragement to see us through those really difficult times...SS

For me it meanssomething like what you said. But if you are sure that you can do something, and even make plans of what to do after your goal is achieved, your chances of succeding grow and you cross the limits of humanity assuring your glory :)

'There is no fate but that we make,' as quoted from the Terminator movies. I actually think that if you have the willpower you can make anything happen.
