Anybody taken the "drug" Topamax? Had bad experiences? Good?

http://www.topamax.com/ Topamax is generally prescribed as a migraine medication, but my neurologist has me taking it to ease "nerve pain". Basically I have a whole bunch of issues- I've been tested for Multiple Sclerosis, Lupus, and some other ailments. MRI showed nothing, a nerve conduction, ekg and other tests showed nothing, blood tests have so far shown nothing.. but I have pain in my body, joints, etc. So the Neuro has me taking 25mg a day. I do have frequent headaches (which this has helped with), but it has also helped with pain in my body (especially in my left arm) as well. This med does have some interesting side effects (most concerning to me being the possibility of developing kidney stones). I have lost about 10 pounds since starting it, too. I have read some real nightmares on some websites, though.. really bad reactions people have had to it, including eye problems. (I myself got sick recently, just after the Neuro bumped me up to a double dosage. Probably because my immune system was compromised, I ended up with a rash all over my stomach, and my hands and feet got that "pins and needles" feeling a couple hours after taking my pills. My hands felt HUGE. It was bizarre. So I went back down to 1 dose. :( ) What are your experiences with this medication? If any?
