Has anyone been to Turks and Caicos?

Has anyone here ever been to Turks and Caicos? I was just thinking about it as I was reading a couple posts about Hawaii. It is a beautiful little country near Cuba and Haiti. It is also an extremely poor country though. They only have a few resorts and that is where all of their income comes from. In driving around the islands we came across one little row of shops and that was it. There were some huts, mediocre housing and then the complete opposite, a few lavish properties. But when I was there I also found out they don't export anything. Nothing at all. That means they have to import everything and make no money of off their products. I just found it interesting. Anyways, it is a stunning place for a vacation and the water there is actually better than on any of the Hawaian islands, it's clear and 75 all day long everyday. Breathtaking!
