Do you believe in Marriage?

i dont believe marriages are forever

I do believe because marriage is sacred, and two people binds together in the matrimony of marriage because of love not for anything else, if the motives is wrong i don't believe in marriage. There should always an accompaniment of unconditional love on both parties.

I think different things work for different people, and people should only do something if it works well for them. I know some couples who have been together for many years but have never married, and they are very happy. They have no desire to get married, so in my opinion, they shouldn't get married just to appease others.

It seems that there is a fifty percent divorce rate for love marriages in the U.S. which is MUCH larger than the rate for arranged marriages anywhere else. Marriages often don't work out just because the people involved didn't know each other as well as they thought they did and they didn't what they found when they did. Despite this pessimism caused by the alarming divorce rates I'm all for getting married to the right person!

Well, that belief completely depends on which region you are living in and in which environment you have grown up. I am an Indian and in India marriage is a very important part of human life. Its a beginning of new life for a man or woman. For me it is important because i want someone close with whom i can share my thoughts and feelings, you cant do that with any other member in you family. After all we cant spend whole life alone, and our parents cant stay with us until we are living. At some stage they will leave us, and at that stage my wife will be the only one with me. I don't want to discuss about thinking in western countries, but one thing is sure that marriage holds a very important part in my life.

As a christian, yes I do. I beleive that marriage is very important for two persons who want to start a family together.
