In my neighborhood there is not much space between us and in the communities I manage there is even less space. So...as I have been having complaints from one neighbor to another, I am thinking what makes a neighbor good. Here are some thoughts I had, but please share yours. (1)No loud music (2)Never parks in your space (3)Keeps their dog from pooping in your yard (4)Does favors for you if they can

I agree with these things. I wouls also add that a good neighbor is one who is friendly, to say hi, but not to intrude into your business.

Being a good neighbor is just that... being neighborly. It means respecting others' space, privacy and right to live peacefully. I like to treat everyone as a neighbor, even if they don't live nearby.
Now, I enjoy a great party or BBQ and music is key to them but I'm respectful of my neighbors by informing them that I intend to entertain guests and ask that they have the courtesy to let me know if there is a problem before reporting an issue. Also, I never allow the noise to carry on past our city's noise ordinance. This isn't an everyday occurrence either ; )
