When do you take down or throw away your Christmas tree?

We used to wait 3-4 weeks before taking ours down, but with havinga one year old I've found it's best to take it down quickly (we also put it up later than usual this year). We are taking it down tomorrow or Saturday. I'm having a few friends over for a poker night so that also ads to the reason to take it down so we have more room.

I can understand you taking it down earlier with a one years old in the house. Sometimes I take it down early sometimes I don't. I've heard it is a tradition to keep it up until New Years. Alot of people practice not taking it down unil after New Years and some don't.

I've heard some places it's a tradition to keep it up through January, guess just depends on the area and how people feel in the community.

I am very anxious to take my tree down and put all my Christmas stuff away. I always decorate and the kids love all the cute things but I can't stand the clutter! I am ready for my house to be back to normal. I am planning on putting some items away today and the rest will be in the attic by this weekend.

Oh, for us it's not that we don't like the clutter, but just with a small townhome we are renting we run out of room.

yeah I used to think it was fun to see how long I could keep the tree up at our house.
