How do I patch a Whole in the wall, from the door nob.

I know I need to go to home depot, what do I get?

From a Home Depot Employee.....The easiest way? Go to Hardware at Depot, to the aisle with door knobs. In that area you will find a "wall Protector" that is about 8" in diameter. It is self sticking. If you just buy that, you can caver the hole AND prevent further damage from the same doorknob.Good Luck

Go down to the section called Building materials, with the sheetrock there will be all the supplies you need to fix the damage. You will need a patch, they sell lots of different sizes, so make sure you know how big the damaged area is. Have fun!

You need to get a drywall screen and patch compound. Place a little of the compound on the wall over the hole. Place the screen over the hole. Place more patch compound over the screen to completely cover it. You may have to add more layers of the compound after the first layer dries. If you do need more compound, make sure you sand lightly between dry coats. Good Luck!
