Tumble dryer repair

I purchased a second hand Hotpoint Aquarius TL62 tumble dryer. It would not heat up so i purchased a new heater element. Upon fitting it i found the fault to be elsewhere. Any ideas why the element wont heat up. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

there's a chance it could be in your power supply,try checking the house breakers and the conections on the power cord. you have power going to the motor to make it tumble,but no power going to the heating element.good luck!
