Fairtrade - Is it good or bad?

I agree with the principals behind Fairtrade, but still I doubt that this is any good for the poor peoples around the world! Ex. coffee: Fairtrade secure better payment for farmers who are a member. Since they get better paid, they want to grow more. The problem is that Fairtrade don't include all farmers and because some grow more, more coffee will come on the market. More coffee, lower prices for those who are not allowed to be a member of Fairtrade. Is this any fair?
