I was a counselor for five years at an agency that has an increasing number of teens being ordered for counseling after a domestic incident with their parent (usually Mom). There seems to be an increase in this across the board and it's never easy on the parents. As someone who has worked in that area, I can tell you that your sister should try to get some assistance with this now before the police are at the door and someone has been hurt. All of this is domestic violence and that tends to get worse. If your sister seeks help now, she should not worry about social services because professionals will have been made aware of the situation.

This one I can't even imagine. How could children hit their own parents? Unless the parents are beating their children, which any sensible parent would not do, then this doesn't make sense. The only thing I can think of to help them is couselling. Talk things out and let out steam in a constructive way.
