in this day we read about the confirmation of capital punishment for saddam hussain: it will be kill at leat at the end of january.
we all know who saddam are: a dictator with much murder on the coscience, but at the en ddo you think tha this capital punishment is right? personally not, it's a coscience fact, i'm againt capital punishment, i think that nobody can kill, murder someone in the name of the law, so i'm against also in this occasion. i think tha the punishment must be educativa: the death is educative?

okay so I am not sure how to feel about it. I agree that he was wrong for killing all that he did kill in his own country however I am not sure how to feel about him being killed. I guess I know that he is deserving of it but I am not sure if at the same time how he was captured and all that was correct I guess I just have mixed emotions about it and at this point I feel no one way or the other, just mixed and the law has already pronounced his fate so all I can do is just sit and wait...

Saddam deserve just what he is getting. He has killed too many people. He should of being killed ages ago. I am totally for capital punishment. Victims have no rights. It seems the criminal have all the rights. They constantly appeal and appeal. If you can kill someone, you should be killed also.

Saddam is no doubt a dictator. His acts cannot be pardoned. But at the same time he is a human being. Worldover capital punishments are being desisted by people.
As a human being Saddam has to be pardoned. You will now see from almost all countries people are requesting that he be pardoned. Even I agree to it. However for the wrongs he has committed on his fellow human beings he may be punished accordingly except for the capital punishment.
Inspite of his behaviour he has his own set of followers who admire him to the core for his stubbornness. I am one of them. But coming to the punishment yes he has to be punished for his act. The punishment that can be thought of is like making him stand in front of a crowd in a busy area and beaten, thrown stones at etc. which also becomes a lesson to others.

Whats his crime, Saddam Hussain if he killed people of his country its the personal matter of Iraq why is America involved in punishing Saddam Hussain, he should get punishment from his own country.
And if its a capital punishment because he killed thousands of people, than first Bush may also get similar punishment as he is a killer of lacks of innocent lifes who were passed in Iraq war Afghanistan war.
Bush attacked Afghanistan to do the end of Al Qaeda and Usama Bin Laden, so this was a big loss for America that they couldn't acheive their goal instead they killed lacks of innocent children, fathers, mothers, sisters.
United States than attacked Iraq because they only thought Iraq had nuclear weapons of mass destruction, there again it ended up killing lacks of innocent people and didn't find any nuclear weapons in the country.
So who is responcible for all those people who were killed in these two wars?
Now the attacks Israel is making on Palestine everyday there thousands of people are killed every 2nd hour? Why Israel isn't getting any punishment for this?
Why only Saddam Hussain, Why not Bush, Why not Israel?

First: I'm against capital punishment, even in this case. Second: I think that if Saddam is killed he could be a simbol and we could have a situation even more caotic in Irak.
Third: he have to face other judgment for other atrocities that he did.
Fourth: we can have more information about the complicity, international connection and people, many of them european and american, who helped him during his time only if we leave him to live.

Yes i believe that it is the best way to punish him , but i think that
now it is not the right time.
He could stay more than 10 years in prison and all the people should find all the true.
But if he will die no one will know the rest, because probably americans don`t know everythink after 1-2 years with him in the prison.

saddam hussian should be killed i think from what he has done, he doesn't deserve to live. my sister's boyfriend's dad lost his arm due to him and broke his back which is sad :O( he is still alive tho but in a critical condition and can't do anything for himself anymore. Her boyfriend said he would like to watch him be killed and would maybe want to join in and help whoever is doing it but i can see why he say's this because of what's happened to his father, i suppose he only says it because he is angry!

honestly speaking non of us know the real story. the knowledge we have could be biased. so no body is sure either is it right or wrong. what ever we got on him is through media and you know the real definition of media in this world today. not every word is gurented to be true all the time. we dont have real hidden facts and figures which u can say under table dealing. this situation puts people into chaose or groups and sects which is not fair. i think now we young people must change our living styles and start taking things positively more seriously other than being more emotional and this should be for all religions every on has a right to respond or to live.

yah i too agree with you my brother.capital punishment shud be banned as it is banned in about 9 countries of the world.there are other punishments that can be given to him....i think that he was a leader and he did everything to save his country.and there were no nuke arms detected.so y the hell is he bein killed....even if he is being given capital punishment for the way he killed many people...then he was the leader.he can do it.he has the authority to do it.but what he did in my terms was wrong and now what america is doing is absolutely wrong.he can be sentenced imprisonment 4 whole life...or sumthing else..but not capital punishment.this is not 4 him even 4 1000`s in jail.there shud be no capital punishment under law.whether it is by law or not a capital punishment is killing a person. And if he is killed bush should be hanged too.

I think in situations like this with Suddam Hussein being a mass murderer that capital punishment is right. He deserves to die for the way he treated so many of his people.

The longer this man is alive more will die. He's a evil man that thinks we should get down on our knees and kiss his feet. The people of Iraq are so happy now. Than living in fear each day.
What your saying to me is it's ok for anyone to go out and kill someone or like Saddam have hundreds killed and basically live a normal life. Because want them to have a educative punishment. I'm lost, what type of educative punishment would you have for a man that had his son in law killed, no telling how many other family members killed. Hundreds and hundreds of his own people killed because he feared they were trying to kill him.
One good thing Saturday which is just around the corner there going to hang this evil man, just maybe this will stop a lot of the violence in Iraq so our troops can come home.

Well, i am against capital punishment too, but what about people from irak? Are they agree with us? Is this what they want? Saddam to live? I think its above us to speak about whats good or bad in this situation. Are people that have families murdered by the saddam regime. Are people that suffered for his dictation regime. People were dying there, poverty was overwhelming, despite its black gold that irak has it. I dont know how to comment ur post, but its too difficult to say if its right or wrong. Its all about keeping the society under control and this can be possible with a good decision from the court.

it's a difficult question... yes he killed many peoples innocent or not, and he deseerve to die. Also he is a human being and we has the right to life. Maybe he deserve prison for life. I think that capital punishment is a political decision.. Does MR Bush know something about this?:)
