I watched this movie a few times before and still for me it's my all time favorite. A Cinderella type movie that a woman not from a very good background can have a man fall in-love with her. A woman even exposed in a not so good environment was able to keep her values in tact and it shows in her that's why a man fell in love with her accepting everything about her. This is every woman's dream to find his Prince in a very unlikely situation to be her shining armor.Has anyone love this movie? or have experienced finding her prince charming in a very uncomfortable situation? Or for men, have you fall in-love with someone out of your league?

I'm a man and I loved the movie, I even have a copy of it in my collection, I think it's everyone's dream to have a chance of a life time, a chance for love, fortune and acceptance, to over come barriers, move on to different level, etc. Not that I have a miserable life but I loved the movie because it plays on our dreams and hopes.

sure, every man or woman would hope that this would happen to them. With my luck I would get a guy who is a wife beater, or something horrible. I think that you give something up to marry for money. It would be a one in a million that it would be a good thing all the way around.

I only not loved the movie, I adore it. Fascinating romance that has break all barriers holding the reality to come true as when Richard Gere has gradually been impressed by the unique and down to earth simplicity of Julia Roberts. Pretty Woman has touched my innermost self because of the sincerity that Vivian has put into the wildest imagination of a multi-millionaire Richard.

Yes it is a fairy tale and it's nice to watch it thinking there are still good things that can come out of a bad situation. Although that is very true about life but it's much better if that something good has something to do with love life and marriage.

every woman for sure having dream to be a princess and finding the charming prince. i believe and i agree for that. but in finding charming prince, maybe in unlikely situation. well, you cant see the real as like the movie, right? but in my opinion, when a woman already founded the charming prince in their dream, she will be the prettiest woman in this world :) ;)

I Love this movie. This movie is definately one of my all time favorites. I was just thinking about this movie the other day even, and remembering when I was feeling down sometimes I would sing this song and point at me, and at the same time know I was working on building my self esteem up. This is a Great movie to encourage any women anywhere that you can be anything you want to be in life. All it takes is a desire to get there.
And No, I did not find my Prince Charming this way. I met my husband at my place of Business and the rest is History. We are happily Married, but I know things like what happened in the Movie does happen to people.

i think every woman dreams of meeting his ideal man. funny things, i was one of them! back in high school i always picture myself with my "dream guy" then suddenly i realized that there's no such thing as an ideal man, from then on i started looking for a real man. and yes! i found one. he didn't appear as someone who'd give me flowers and stuff..but he loves me and he'll do anything for me! now that's my prince charming!

Yes, But I can't see the angle of money in the movie because Richard Gere didn't put importance about the money or what his friends will tell about him, He just follow his heart's desire, to love a woman even if she is out of her league. Now that's love.

I agree that its a good movie, but what are the chances of that really happening? It's totally unrealistic! The guy hires a hooker to spend the weekend with him, if a guy did that in reality he's probably looking for something else other than to fall in love! I'm not saying that you should give up on your Prince Charming, I'm saying that you shouldn't sit back and wait for him. Just because someone's from a bad background doesn't mean they have to have a bad future, instead of waiting for someone to come take them out of that situation they can take themselves out and rise above it.

I think Julia made that decision in the movie he take herself out of that job being a hooker and about to leave Richard Gere and begin a new life without him but Richard Gere followed her. Although he met her as a hooker and not looking for love on places like that, fortunately he found love and he followed his heart.

I saw the movie and it is a nice one. I will watch it over and over again. I have never experienced it- I mean fallen in love with someone out of my league. The most important thing that learnt in the movie is about being yourself that was what really attracted Richard Gere to Julia Roberts in the film. This is everyone's dream to fall in love and be loved back.

Maybe majority of women wants to be beautiful physically and that what set the other women who are beautiful inside apart from them. Women like Julia here in Pretty woman draws Richard Gere not with her physical beauty but with her character and values.

"It's the heart that counts." is what I would want to see in someone. Though appearances do count towards your judgement, what you like about the other person and how much you really like about the person counts towards how well you want the relationship to be.
