Do you recycle your unwanted, no longer needed or used items. Are you looking for something you can't or don't want to buy??? Try it it's a great way to make friends and help each other in your community. Just go to www.freecycle.org and find or start a FreeCycle in your area. It's great, if you havent' checked it out you may be amazed at the things you can find.

Freecycle is *amazing*. I'm struggling to make ends meet, and that organization has been amazing. I found a couch and chair for my living room, winter clothes, a coffee pot... and I've donated what I can, when I can. I don't know where I'd be without them!

Yes! I'm the owner of the Freecycle Group in my city and I love it. It's a great way to get rid of useable things that I no longer need. I hate to throw anything away and this is an easy option instead. I've only asked for something once, when my dryer broke at the wrong time and we couldn't afford to buy a new one - I posted that I was looking for a used one to get me through until we could buy one - if anyone wanted to part with theirs that might be sitting around collecting dust. The next day a lady wrote to me and she had a brand new dyer that she couldn't use and said I could have it! What a blessing :) I've also received a used small desk for my son and a used wall unit that we painted and fixed up for my son as well. Both are still being used and in great condition! I recommend everyone check into the one in their city and if there isn't one - create one! Have Fun & Happy Freecycling

Im in love with Freecycle! I got both my cat and my dog from freecycle. We got xmas vouchers and couldnt find anything to spend it on. We couldnt see the point in supporting the large corporate shops when we could get it all for free! We've cleaned so much stuff out of our house with Freecycle. Its the best idea ever!

I think it's a wonderful concept-- I used freecycle to pass along all sorts of unwanted things when I was getting ready to move across the country... and seriously needed to downsize my pile of stuff. I think what I like best about it is that my old stuff ends up being useful to someone else, rather than just ending up in a landfill, somewhere.

isn't freecycle wonderful? i love the simple idea of it, and the fact that people can save money by taking unwanted goods from others. i have been a member of my local freecycle for only a few short months but i have given away some bits & pieces that the family no longer needed, and i got a lovely 1950's art deco cocktail cabinet from a lady who didn't want it around her small kids as one of the glass doors is broken. and it's easily repairable for me! i feel i've been a little spoiled with my find though, so hopefully i'll be able to pass on the generosity and help someone else down the track too.

Yes, it's quite amazing the things you can find on freecycle. It's also a great way to reduce clutter and get rid of things you have been storing and never use...lol

We always use Freecycle. Always. I also look for things on Freecycle, because sometimes another mans trash is another mans treasure.

I LOVE Freecycle. I have given and received many wonderful things for myself and my kids, including a changing table and glider rocker for the nursery and a crib and tons of baby clothes and avent bottles. I will re-freecycle the items when my daughter is done with them. I love the group and have become friends with more than one member as a result!
