is the stock market due to go down?

i know the market fluctuates, but here is my question..i had some money in the market in various funds like vanguard and new prospective, but when the market was at around 10000, i took some out for a down payment on a house, the remaining amount, i froze, thinking the market was due to go down...but the market has risen steadily a lot in the last 6 months and not dropped..should i get back in or wait thinking it is due to drop?
