I have used both and I can say that Intel is the best with high quality performance. AMD can only be good for semi-professional and lighter need with PC. I am using dual core 2 it's really the best.

intel is definitely the best. surely enough dual core, core2duo are best from those traditional pentium 4 processors. but i have heard a new generation of processor will be launched this year named as quad core with 4 processors onboard! i wonder how fast and convinient that will be! with 64 bit OS like windows vista you will get multiple tasks done at the same time! you can let your comp to install 3 different OS at the same time and still you get a processor free to play a game or listen to music or brows internet!

i heard that the amd's some new processor was far better than the intel's p4 but noe duo core surpasses em all.
well whatever the case always count the bus speed and the cache the 1 which has the highest 1 is the best irrespective of the brand

AMD processor has one disadvantge that it starts getting hot within one hour after loging windows

I bet you they both have same level of performance. what differs is thier manufacturer. and if you do careful investigation, you will note that these two giants in the processor industry try to share the market almost equally. Noone has advantage over the other.

I don't think there is a differences between Intel or AMD. As long as you have the same speed and meets the specification that will make your pc a high performance one. Intel has release it dual core processor for its windows vista OS, AMD has its own counterpart the AMD 64 bit processor. They just differ in price but have the same capabilities.

Many people think that Intel work more an make less heat.
But Intel cant do work at its peak performance, so he does not heat up.
AMD is the Best Ever Processor in the history of Processors ha.
He does not heatup that much as people thinks about it.its just sayings of people.

I used both of them one time ago. But I think that Intel is much better than AMD. Besides that Intel spare part also cheap and easy to find in the local market in my place while AMD is hard to find the sparepart and quite expensive in maintenance.

if you are all on gaming....go for AMD...they are cheaper and powerful..but if you want a complete system for super applications, multi tasking stuff, video editing all those memory hogs...and want to enjoy fantastic games, go for INTEL..they do come at a price compared to AMD...ehehe...but its worth few extra bucks...I heard that AMD heats up pretty fast ...
i had this problem once when programming...my loop worked for the AMD but hung on an INTEL processor hehe...i had to change to code for my loop but i got it to work...cheers!
