Has the Alchemist changed anyones point of view?

The book the alchemist is one of my favorite books that I've read. I was already a motivated person and also an out the box thinker. I am curious to know if this book has changed anyones life? or has it motivated them to take action on a particular journey? I know this is one book that i recommend everyone to read. It will lift your spirits if your feeling down, it will motivated you to go do whatever it is you need to be doing.
