One of the most boring subject which i feel is history. During history period in our class most of the class will be under the arms of sleep. It makes me wonder shouldnt we think about the future rather then the history.Whats your opinion about this?

so that v learn something from r past and do not repeat the mistakes v had done earlier..but the importance of history is no more as history repeats itself again and again.

I agree with you that history cannot repeat itself. But not in all cases. In some places history does repeat itself.Like the reasons of conflicts are sometimes the same

I agree with you. Even when we were studying, i used to feel the same thing. However when we row up and go for tours and vacation to such places then only you realize the important of such things. You will be amazed to see the palace of mysore in reality though it was boring to study. Seeing is actuallybelieving. I have responded to this aspect of history because most of the points are covered by others.

History teaches you about people from different ages, diffrent periods, different cultures, different countries. By studying history we get to know about various civilisations, cultures and traditions of people. So that we get to know about people and their way of life in ancient times, medieval times, modern times. We understand more about historical monuments and figures. We learn about the freedom movements as in India quit india movements, satyagraha. We learn about french revolution, russian revolution and how it helped in growth of mankind and way of thinking, in renaissance. we get to know about our national leaders, freedom frghters and learn something from them. besdies we learn about various wars fought for land, greed, and not to make such mistakes in future.
