The movie was great...but it didn't seem like a James Bond movie. He didn't have all of the James Bond characteristics carried over from the other movies. Why he even said he didn't care if his martini was shaken or stirred! Of coarse this was the first mission and he just became a 007.

Yes, this story originated by Ian Flemming and was published in 1953. Since then an adaptation of this story has been played out on a TV episode and a 'spoof' movie Starring David Niven as 007. Although the new movie is GREAT since it kinda uses some plot lines from this time period, the book is GREAT as well.
