do google lack programming skill to make orkut update without making it down ?

yes you can say that. but there is so much rush overload on orkut ..... may be because of that

yeah... but maybe they're undergoin a major change in the layout...which can't be changed while workin over it!!

yes even i was very surprised with that. they could have done it with some other way. they are best in thr world of net and if their site is down due to maintaience then what can happen to the sites whic are not that good in infrastructure. like in my sites there are pages which are under consrtructure like www.pixelgroups.co.nr
