Well my sacrifice mainly depends upon the time and situation. I often feel contented with the things I have and get. Like the saying goes... 'A bird in hand is worth two in a bush'. So like the saying, if I'm sure that there is a greater gain for me then I will not hesitate to give up the little thing for the betterment obviously. But if the greater gain is uncertain then I intend to keep my little reward rather than risk it.
Sometimes risk can be good but sometimes it can be opposite. It all depends upon your destiny and faith, in my opinion. What you are destined to get, you will get regardless of what happens but if you're not destined to get it... then no matter what you do, you will not get it.
But then again, like another saying goes... 'No pain no gain'. If you don't lose some, you won't get some either. Humans have a curious and a little selfish nature by default. Everyone wants to get the maximum and the most they can have. I think it would be foolish not to take a risk every once in a while... adrenaline pumps up and you won't face heart problems ;)
I hope this satisfies your answer... Cheers !
