Why Mylot and Google Discussions are always on "top discussions"?

I want to know, how "top discussions" are build? Because every discussion about google and mylot goes to top discussions. Yesterday I made a discussion about mylot, and it got 80+ responses. And everyday I see a discussion about mylot and google ad-sense in the top. Why this happen? Can anyone advice me? Thanks. (and sorry for the bad english)

Well, i have never noticed this particular trend. But if it happens, there might be two reasons behind this... one that more people respond to such discussions and second that mylot purposedly does this so people get more information about mylot. Those are my thoughts.
