Amd or Pentium?

I need change my pc. Now i have a question. What is the best? Amd or Pentium? I like pentium dual core....but i not haven may tryed this! What is your council?

pentium lost it's fame under AMD.but it reminds every one about it by coming once again with the name..Dual core.. pentium is the one with long time reliability..
