Lately my period is getting heavier than usual It was such a drag. It sometimes stops me from enjoying things that i normally do. I was wondering if tampons could help. Is it more safe, reliable, effective than a sanitary napkin? give me some suggestions.

I think tampons are great! I only started using them a couple of years ago and wish I would have tried them sooner! They are reliable and a lot less messy than pads. Sometimes I forget Im even wearing one! I dont have to always worry about if Im going to leak through or have an accident. I love the tampax pearl tampons. They are easy to use and comfortable!

I am not quite sure what a tampon is equivalent to when it comes to sanitary napkins. I do apologize for that.. I am sure when you go purchase them you could ask someone who may know that may work in that section of the store. I use a no name brand tampon. I as well like using tampax. I find them to work very well. I do not recommend wearing playtex. They may end up working for you. But with my experience of using them I have found them to leak. And I have just tried them recently & will not try them ever again personally. But it all depends upon what your flow is also. If you have a more heavy flow, which I usually do I end up going with supers. But only you can know what your flow is.. I hope if you have tried using tampons recently that they have been working out for you so far.. And I hope all of my experiences that I have told you about with tampons has helped you in some way or another. I wish you all the best.

I used to wear pads a long time ago but for the last two - three yrs. I have been using tampons. I don't know when I used to use a pad I found them to be uncomfortable. Almost like wearing a diaper or something. As well I don't like the idea of getting up & feeling like you always have to adjust your underwear, among other areas. At least that is what I had found I had to do when wearing them. I find they stick to other area's all to much. That's why now I prefer to wear tampons. I find them easy to wear, as well as don't find myself worrying so much about it like I did when it came to pads. And they are less messy like someone had stated on here as well. I also find them to be so much more discreet & that you can hardly feel them if you had inserted them the right way. The only downfall is there is a lot of risks involved with using tampons. Such as health risks including: Toxic Shock Syndrome. But I personally find them more convenient & comfortable than a pad any day. If you want maybe give them a try & see how you feel when wearing one.. Everyone is different & some people try using a tampon & end up liking pads more.. Or going back to pads.. And sometimes it's reversed. I guess it all depends upon personal preference really.

a tampon is used as an alternative to sanitary napkin. most of the time people who has heavy flows use it since it inserted inside the meatus, it will avoid leaks.

I started wearing them ever since I've started my period. Really comfortable and I think 1/2 tamps= 1 pad? But it sometimes hurt when I take it out (not often though)

I know it very well, it is girl's pain. IN every month, I must have a bad feeling about it, and sometimes I am tired to do this, but it is necessary, anyone cannot help me, just myself, but I have no way to avoid it. Though girls is suffering from this, I am proud that I am a girl.

I started wearing them ever since I've started my period. Really comfortable and I guess its 1 or 2 = 1 pad? Best to change them every 3-4 hours. But it hurt sometimes when I take them out (not often though)
