How Many Icons On your desktop?

I have just two icons... "My computer" and "Recycle bin"
It seems, keeping too many icons on the desktop makes the system little slow by using up your RAM.
What about your System Tray(below right side of the screen, eg: volume control, time)? How many programs are running there?
Keeping too many useless running programs here too will slow down your computer.

No, desktop icons don't make system slower. Its up to your daily requirement how much programs you use frequently.I have 6 icons on my desktop excluding My computer and Recycle bin. Having icons on desktop is a convenient way to reach our favourite programs easily and faster.

Good point about the easy access!! I thought too many icons eats up some RAM.
