i was so sad to know that a person i know for many years was diagnosed of having a tumor. it saddens me since i know that she doesnt have the means of getting the best medical attention. and yet as i see her relate her expriences in life, how it strengthens me that she is able to face such adversities because of her strong faith in the true God and knowing that more people suffer far more than her.

Yes, faith in God and willpower are two things that can keep a man alive and hopeful even in the most adverse circumstances. I have never known such people personally, but I think that if a person has got strength in his character, then he can change his destiny and go through even the most bad times smiling.
