i think its a brilliant idea and should be implimented in ALL countries...even the ones who dont think they have a problem with it, may be surprised...at least if testing is routine, people are more aware and may get better informed about it..
the only problem is in the countries that cant afford the testing or good healthcare

I thinkthat is a great idea not only will it help in early detection but also will remove the stigma and fear attached to the disease. I have got it done twice and procedure is not different than normal blood test so I see no reason why it can not become a mandatory part of routien checkup.

when i applied for a working visa abroad, i took a massive medical examination. i also went through HIV testing. it's good actually. atleast, noone will be sent working to another place carrying HIV disease. plus they get to know if they are suffering from the disease. they will learn how to prevent and stop spreading the disease.

well there is some frightening statistic that over half of the people who have HIV don't know it.
so why not test. the only thing that it will do is make people more informed. it doesn't cause any problems to get tested. they give girls pregnancy tests all the time even if they know they are not pregnant. it seems similar to me.
