That is nice to hear that your neighbour is a good friend as well. It makes for a better life when those around you can help and live in harmony with each other. All the best for 2007.

And I suppose it all started when they came round to borrow a cup of sugar lol. It's amazing that there are so many people that take advantage of our generousity that they come back for more and more.

I would have to say that I have one of those pesty and nosey neighbors, she is either coming over at the most inconvient times to use the computer or she is peaking from behind the curtains literally to see what everyone else is doing.

I'm very good friends with my next door neighbour. We don't bother each other during the week, but we go to pub quizzes together, walk together a few times a week, and go for a drink and meet up with another friend every so often. She's a great neighbour and a good friend and I don't know how I'd go on if she moved.

Too true. But then, I know I can go almost anywhere in my village to find a friend that I can confide in. I fitted in well, from day one, and have made some very good friends here. There's a lot to be said for village life.

It's nice to hear that you have a good neighbour and it's a bonus that she is your friend as well. It certainly makes life more enjoyable having discussions and thoughts that you can bounce off now and then to get things off your mind and maybe a problem solved now and then. Priceless!

I have a neighbor that I love having, she's great. The problem is her husband isn't so great :( So we try to just talk with her or visit when he's at work. It's a shame he has to be such a jerk but nothing you can do about that. We also have a good neighbor across the street. She's friendly and we talk when possible. I've had neighbors from hell though believe me I know how miserable that it can make your life. I'm glad I have a few good ones.

Sounds great that you have more than one good neighbour that you can share your life with. Men neighbours can have thier uses (lol) when some heavy jobs need doing, plus they can keep the other jerks away whilst the ladies either chinwag or go out together.

An unusual combination, but it is working well for you. When you move to your new location I hope that your neighbour turns out to be a good friend as well so all the best for 2007.

Most of the people in my apartment house (36apts) are friendly and I am on speaking terms with all of them. There is only two people in the building that I would consider as close friends. That is we have daily conversations, go out to eat or shopping together and turn to each other when we need help. Most of the people here are condominium owners but we have some who rent that are real doosies. Fortunately there have been no conflicts and most of them are well behaved. Did have some problems in the past but they have moved on and everything is fine in paradise now.

That sounds fantastic in that condominium paradise you have. To be able to actually go out together and enjoy shopping plus eating out is a real bonus. That kind of sharing company is a priceless commodity to be envied. I wish you all well.

I mainly avoid my neighbors, some are good and some are bad but i don't have much of relationship with any of them, most are nosy or noisy but not really bad all of the time, I believe that a good fence makes a good neighbor so i just keep my distance and all is fine.

Avoiding your neighbour can be a good thing because sometimes you can sense from observation of thier actions that approaching them could be bad initial. A softly softly approach is probably the best way or not at all. As long as we are aproachable and friendly makes all the difference.

A sound method. If we are friendly and approachable it makes all the difference to keeping a friend as a friend. I like to be a good listener and only put in my penniesworth if I know that my my opinion will not cause any bad feelings. It's not a matter of agreeing for the sake of it but to put a point across that there are other points of view to consider. Sometimes when I listen on the radio and a caller is putting thier point of view across I sometimes think to my self mmmm I never thought of it that way.
