Celebrity Obsession

Why are we so obsessed with the dating, eating, parenting, and religion of celebrities these days? It seems I can't even watch the evening news without some mention of some celebrities daily life. Is there nothing more interesting to report? Could they at least report more about the celebrities doing something positive with their status?

Hi! Frankly, I couldn't care less who Paris Hilton is dating or whether Britney Spears is a flasher. I think there is far too much emphasis placed on celebrities. The rest of us have lives, too.

I agree completely. I do think it's great though how some stars are using their attention to bring awareness to problems around the world.
