What instrument(s) do you play? Why?

I play violin and cello. I began playing violin when I was in the fifth grade and still play. Fifth grade is when the schools start kids in orchestra and band and I was just drawn to the violin. I began playing cello about 3 years ago. I have always loved the sound of the cello and when my husband started writing music, I taught myself to play. What about you?
