Telecommuting is good or bad thing!!

Telecommuting is the latest trend where you work at home and communicate with office using computer technology...
In this way,people would be able to spend more time with their families...But the less social contact would harm morale and loyalty and affect the social atmosphere of an organisation..
What would you say??

Wouldn't be able to comment from experience but I think it could be useful at times when there is no real need for you to be in the office.

But don`t you think,you always need a working environment and only office can provide this..If you``re working at home,there can be several disturbances especially nuisance created by kids..

Well I think you can create the environment as somebody else said get into the routine and avoid the disturbances.
I was saying that it is good to be able to ocassionally work from home. I do enjoy the social structure of being in the office, you get to interact more quickly and I find one to one discussions can be very fruitfull.

I was fortunate enough to be able to telecommute for work for a period of time. Telecommuting is a great thing. You just have to make sure you stay in a routine. Get up, get dressed and have a seperate work space in your home. Trust is the big issue with most employers and telecommuting. Don't betray that trust or you will make it harder on those who come after you.

It`s good to know that you have already did this :)
But i would like to ask that you know such working environment can`t be got in homes which one gets in offices because you know there is kids nuisance and many other disturbance.SO how did you manage to do that..??
How many years did you do this kinda job?

i think its Goood!atleats one can give more time to home specialy nursing mothers!
