mourning of a cat

i had a cat for over 10 years.my husband brought another cat in the house and at the time the cat was a kitten, my husband thought that maybe she might need someone to play with, but my cat got sick and died due to another cat was in the house do you think that my cat died due to a broken heart.

Not at all. Cats are very much in touch and adoration of being a member of a "pride", whether we're talking a lion, a tiger or a house cat. I'm pretty sure there was some type of illness that killed the cat as opposed to a broken heart. Cats don't truly have those types of feelings. And yes, I'm a cat lover, have 6 myself and have been active in the animal world and done much research on different aspects of different animals and their ways so don't think I'm casting aside the sorrow involved. I don't mean to do that. I just mean to assure you that your cat did not die of a broken heart.
