Three days back I hit a boy he was trying to hit me coz he wanted to show his friends that he is more stronger then me
although I am not a builder but I use mind in self defence so I won the fight and he got injured
But I only did this because of self defence and I dont understand why people try to hit someone ?
after that day I am not happy what I did.
I am always trying to live friendly but at situvation I was not been able to control myself.
I think everybody have the right of self defence.
What U think about it?

You have the right to defend yourself, but only use enough force. There have been a lot of publicity in U.K. when people are attacked and use too much force to defend themselves and they are charged with the offence, not the attacker, there have been some cases when burglers have been shot, and the property owners have been imprisoned.
It would be better if you could find some non-violent way to defend yourself, although that is not always practical.

I think you did the right thing by defending yourself. You never wanted to attack that guy. It was him who started it all and should face the results. He will be hiding his face now. You should not feel guilty. You have not initiated the fight. But at the same time don't get agressive. We all have the right to save us from attacks.

my advice is contrary from others.the first thing in the morning pray for your entire day.commit your day into Gods hands in such a way you can be sure your entire day is free of such evils.Because he that fights today lives to fight tomorrow.

I am a believer in the saying that it takes a stronger man to just walk away but sometimes this is just not possible! In most circumstances involving me only I would try to just walk away but if it was a situation where my Fiance or kids were in danger I would fight!

well , the right to hit some one for self defence is not a mistake or not allowed like that . U can do so , it is no where written or told by any one that u should sit silently when u are facing a situation of getting beaten. this is for self defence.
on the other hand the meaning of hit some one should not be taken into your hand for all situations . especially hitting with your mouth that is by spell. becasue hit by hand can be forgotten but the words which has come out will never be taken back . please take care my dear xrated.
thanks for nice discussion

i mean its just a punch, its not like you killed the guy. if he's trying to hit you and the only way in your mind to get him to stop is to punch him, well fine. if he wants to whine about it then thats his problem. you shouldn't be scared to protect yourself. some people just want to solve problems with fighting, most males are like that. you shouldn't be too depressed. to protect ones self or family, even the kindest person will stand up and fight. me i'm friendly, never hit anyone, but if someone tried to hurt my family, especially my children...ITS ON!!! because no one messes with my children.

There is no wrong in hitting a person for self defence. You were correct and you don't have to feel hurt about it. Self defence is not a mistake of any. There are people who want to show off their muscles for the sake of no good. They don't realize that common sense is more what is required to be displayed in public.

Xrated, In your case I think your act was justified as it was that boy who hit your first. Had it been you who had hit him first it would have been wrong, there was nothing wrong in what you did. You should not feel guilty about this act. It is that boy who should feel guilty for provoking you and for initiating this scuffle. In my opinion you were not wrong at all, infact you did the right thing.

If you have to protect yourself then sometimes you can't get around it. I don't think violence really solves anything though. Imagine how much better the world would be if no one ever fought. Obviously, this isn't really possible, but I think people should og around looking for fights.

Your right, everybody has a right to self defense. But it must be reasonable force, and justified. The laws on self defense are a little grey. People try to pick on others to make them feel better, or stronger than everyone else. What you did was right, and you shouldn't feel bad for defending yourself.

yes, everybody has the right to hit someone in self defence.even court of law allows this and if you prove that you have even comitted murder in self defence, the criminal is freed by court of law.but we have always to prove that it was done in self defence.

ya,you are right! we have the right of self defence. The law gives us this right!
I think you must be an kind and gentle man. so am I. I never have the idea to hurt somebody else. But there are some persons who are aggressive, even crazy. They are easy to be angry and hurt some others. When it happens to me, I think I will try to fignt against with him. I think we have no right to attack other abusively, but we have the right to protect ourselves.
Wish aggressive people become less and less in the world!
Good luck to you!
