So my four year old was sick last night. I let her sleep in my bed next to me. At 3 AM she woke me up poking at me. She said "Mama, what are Zebras made of?" I didn't think I heard her right and I asked her to repeat herself four times. I then explained Zebras are made of bones, muscles, boold, skin hair and all the other things that people like us are made of. She was satisfied with the answer and went right back to sleep.

Kids do say some funny things! My daughter has had a number of her own. As a toddler she was always telling us things we had heard on television. She loved to repeat commercials and cartoon lines to us. Now, as a 7 year old, she still has some very funny lines but I can't think of any specific ones right now.

What a hoot. I love it. I am a grandma now, but I remember lots of little things like that. I think you have a smart cookie on your hands. When my daughter was three, her brother was six, and went to kindergarten. She could hardly wait to get his math papers every day. I can remember being up to my elbows in mixing a meat loaf and she wanted to know "How do you make eight?" Had to determine, do we want to know what an eight looks like, or is this an addition problem, then instruct her how to do it, as my hands were not clean and available. What she wanted was different ways to add up to 8. At that age she made her first poem, as well. She did not know that was what she did, but she did. She has begun writing regularly, now. She is 27

LOL! That's too cute! With 4 kids of my own, I've had plenty of funny and sometimes gross things come out of their mouths....just today for example I've heard: "Mom...did you know I love you more than bunnies"? Hmmm...no son, I didn't...lol! "Hey everybody, come look at my poop"! (said by my daughter to her brothers). There's been many others, but this is all my fried brain can remember at the moment. Isn't it funny what they say? Thanks for sharing!
