Russell Crowe's acting ability

I never took much notice of Russell Crowe until I saw him in Gladiator, and I would now rank him up there with all the great action heroes of Hollywood.
His acting great ability is not only confined to action parts as I have seen him in other films where his versatility as an actor is truly shown.

Well the thing about Rusty is that he's a real artist - he's PASSIONATE about his craft, to a ludicrous degree. And that passion shows through in the fact that he tends to be a bit rowdy when he gets intoxicated.
And that's probably what distinguishes someone like him from the rest of the Hollywood factory - the man's talent certainly DOES show in just about any film he appears in.
And another thing that you have to give him credit for - he started out life as a Kiwi (where so MUCH artistic talent seems to originate nowadays) but became an Australian citizen after deciding to take up residence there. So his loyalties are consistent with his life choices.
