Should Common Law marriages be recognized?

okay. not trying to step on anyones toes here just want to hear all points of view. tell us what you think and why and also if u know how your state or country's law states it.

Yes, I think it should be recognized. Many people buy houses together, have children, etc... It should be recognized w/o the piece of paper.
