A man was arrested when deputies found 15,000 pounds of marijuana, worth $25 million, in a northwest Harris County warehouse.
Police were given a tip that a man had a controlled substance while he was driving a semi..When the police found the man, he was driving his big rig without headlights.
When the deputy pulled him over, he found cocaine and marijuana. Later, the police searched the man's warehouse--They found 502 bails of marijuana weighing in at an astounding 15,000 pounds. The police also confiscated an unregistered Ar15 assault rifle and another vehicle.
This was the largest bust in Harris county history..Harris County is located near Houston.
"I've been in narcotics since '93 and I've never seen a load of marijuana as big as this," said Lt. J.D. Glesmann of the Harris County Sheriff's Office.
The man was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana with intent to deliver.
Wow..that is a lot of pot..the man was clearly the supplier for most of that region. This should drop a lot of the drug activity for a month or so--until the deals can get another shipment. Good for the cops finding this guy (thanks to the tipster).
