Having an organ transplant is not something that people do for leisure. It's an end of your life saving technique used as a last resort.. I dont think that you should go into a transplant if you're not ready or willing to deal with the consequences. I had a heart transplant 10 years ago. My heart failed and I was 14. It saved my life and I would never deny someone that option. People do not "change" organs like the do clothes. That would be stupid - it's so very risky. It's a health decision. If you need a new organ you're really very sick to begin with so the risk to your health isn't that much greater.

If one of my organs is failing me? I want a new one. If my heart is failing? I want a transplant. My lungs? My liver? Kidneys? If something goes on me before I'm in my golden years, I want it transplanted. It's better to my health to get a new organ than to die when I'm not even thirty yet. And all those kids with defects? It's better for their health to get a new organ, too.
