Yes we do obey the traffic rules because they are there for our own protection. We do not speed, go through red lights, cross over double lines etc. It is just not worth the risk, as there could be some other idiot coming the other way who is doing exactly the same. We find that we get there just as quick driving at our own speed as those who speed do, and it is not unusual for us to pass someone who has gone speeding past us. You know that traffic policeman waiting ahead, well he just got the speeder. The other thing is that I am not prepared to give the government any more of my money, so obey the rules and take care.
We have seen far too many accidents on the roads as a result of stupidity on the part of the driver and quite honestly, we do not want to be one of the statistics.

I always slow down for the yellow light, but if I am at the light and I am about to pass throught it, I will proceed. It is safer to keep going than to stop abruptly.

I do my best to follow all traffic rules, and you can see that on my driving record. I do not think anyone is perfect, but is pays off in safety, and lower insurance rates. It is a good example for your kids, as well.

I am a good traffic regulations abiding citizen. Not beating the red light and reducing speed when the light turns yellow. I am not using the shoulders, unless necessary, these are for ambulance and Cops. No over speeding, where the max I do is about 10 mph above the limit but usually on average of 5mph. I am hoping drivers must be responsible enough to anticipate the trfic ahead, and oh one more thing I never drink and drive.

I do my best to obey it. But when it's around the wee hours in the morning and there's not a vehicle in sight I'm always tempted to just pass through but I'm still aware that there are cameras around so I'm not going to risk it. However, there are exceptions to that rule like when I have an emergency to go to or if I'm being chased by armed men. I can't just stop and make myself a sitting target, it's better to move and dodge.

I admit i do something breach traffic safety but not major ones. Things such as parking at double yellow lines, making illegal U-turns, and not stopping at yellow light. But driving through red light is certainly a big no-no and i certainly hate drivers who do not give way to pedestrian at the zebra crossing. But i believe sometimes the traffic rules have to extend to regulate pedestrians too. Jay-walking is a major problem for drivers and cyclists on the highway also poses as a major hazard

Where I live here in Texas they are starting to install cameras at the traffic lights. If you go through the light when it is red the police that your picture and mail you a traffic ticket. People used to go through the lights when they were red, but these cameras have stopped this from happening. I always try to obey the traffic laws.

You see the follwoing ot traffic signals rules are for our safety. And more over if you think you are good driver then who knows the other ones. So when you dont know the other ones situation about the driving its wise decision to follow the traffic rules.

I do, definitely. When I see the traffic light turn yellow, I slow down instead of speeding up. I've seen two incidents of a vehicles trying to beat the red light and got into a crash. Being careful on the road not only saves our lives, but others as well. It's really better to be safe than sorry.
