I hate chat rooms! There is so much BS and spam it is not even worth it. An example... I was looking for help on a prticular software program and did a search for live chats about the program, went to the chat of 'professionals' in this software program and I asked the question, waited and waited and waited then asked again then the same thing, waited while watching all of this unrelated chat, NOTHING about the program it was supposed to be about. For every statement someone made 3 or 4 "bots" i was told popped in with to see my naked profile...go to whatever it was dot com and then I caps locked and asked the question again and after 15 or 20 minutes of unrelated talk I finally just left the room.
So, in summary... NO I hate chats!

I love it. I think I have more friends online than I do in real life lol. I've been using Yahoo messenger since I was 14. I've joined dozens of clans already but of course that was the past. I'm 20 now and still a chat addik haha. I like it way way better than MSN =D

Yeah, I use it quite a bit. Yahoo messenger is my favorite messenger service! I use it at least once each day. It's so great for keeping up with friends, especially when you have friends from all over the place. Now I don't know how I kept in touch with people before having messenger!

I think I would love it. But I never tried once. Because once I have the messenger running, I don't know who to talk to.

I use VoIP as well as IM these days. The first two IMs I tried were Yahoo! Messenger and MSN Messenger. I don't like either of them. MSN Messenger would keep losing contact with the server, and Yahoo! Messenger would keep crashing. I am a tech, and I treat my computer they way a dentist treats his teeth. Whenever a program starts causing problems, I get rid of it quickly and without hesitation.
AIM seems to be fairly stable, and I like the free incoming phone number. Between that and AdCalls, you can assemble a complete phone system on your computer, all for free. But there's always one or more situations with my friends: either they have a slow connection, or they have cruddy speakers, or they don't have a microphone.
Nowadays, I use Skype. It seems to work the best. Its sound quality is great, and it rarely drops a call. It never crashes either. And since I found a package that let me make it portable, it's that much more attractive. It makes just one of over fifty programs that comprise my portable suite.

Its been awesome to see Yahoo Messenger Evolve Over the Years, its exciting to think where its going to go , Yahoo is pushing hard to compete in Wireless Based Services for Cellph9ones, hoepfully we will have a Virtual Messenger in our phone that has Video and Full VOIP A/B/G/N abilities, so when your not in your network, you can connect to WiFi to use VOIP. It will be fun, and yes, I love using the Camera in Yahoo messenger when I communicate, it makes me feel involved.
