We live in the country and have bore water, so all our water for consumption is filtered. We have a filter on the tap plus I too have a couple of water jugs with filters which are always in the fridge. I sometimes add a dash or slice of lemon to the container just for a bit of variety. When we travel we always take our own water with us and gradually dilute it with water from wherever we are visiting. This lessens the chance of getting a tummy bug from the water, because in some towns the water is absolutely disgusting.
I seldom drink tap water because of this reason, because when water can make coffee take off that is a good enough reason not to.

I have never been a huge drinker of plain water. I always added lemon juice or ginger - or both. Recently, we sometimes had a chlorine taste in the water, which spoiled tea or coffee or anything else.
I bought a Brita water filter jug and used it for cold water in the fridge and also to fill the jug for hot drinks.
Before long, I was drinking so much plain cold water, that I couldn;t keep enough cold, so I bought another Brita filter jug just to keep water for the electric jug.
I love filtered water and bring at least 2 litres a day. Thank you Brita!
